Famous actress Hruta Durgule is one of the most beloved actresses amongst the Marathi audience. Her Zee Yuva’s serial Phulpakharu has helped her reach to many Marathi families and made her the part of their lives. Today is Gudhi Padwa and Marathi New Year. On this occasion we have Gudhi in each Marathi family as the symbol of love, happiness, success, positivity and many good things. Due to busy shooting schedules actors do not get enough time for their family and loved ones. This year actress Hruta Durgule has decided to celebrate this festival with her family for which she took a short break from shooting.
Hruta Durgule says “As I took a break from shoot I will be celebrating Gudhi Padwa with my parents and siblings with joy. Also we will be going to the Procession (शोभायात्रा) of Girgaon, Worli and Lower Parel.” Also, “Gudhi Padwa is our Marathi New Year. Everyone prepares for it to be welcomed with joy and utter happiness. Gudhi is the symbol of happiness. We move to the new beginning of the New Year on this day. If we build the Gudhi of love, joy, positive thoughts and new resolutions then we can proudly say that yes we celebrate Gudhi Padwa.” – Hruta adds.
She also tells about her way of celebration – “In my family we celebrate Padwa in a very traditional way. On this day we all gather and build the Gudhi. My mother cooks the food for which we eagerly wait to taste. Every year on this day there are different processions. This year we will be joining Girgaon, Worli and Lower Parel’s procession. My New Year resolution is to keep entertaining and giving always something new to my audience through my work. They have always loved and supported me, I am really grateful for this. I will be giving my best to keep and value the beautiful relation between the audience and artist.”
