Added Vikram, “Marathi cinema has come of age. I think there is a time and space for every kind of genre and films. I’m a Maharashtrian, I speak the language and I’m comfortable with the language. I think the story that I wanted to tell, I got great artists for the same including Mukta Barve and Subodh Bhave. When I found right characters, I think it was the right time to make it in Marathi. It’s not that I don’t want to make a film in Hindi. The sensibility of the kind of cinema I want to make, the story I want to tell and the right casting… I just thought it was the right time to make a Marathi film.”
