While winning hearts all over, Sony Pictures is now all set to set their foot in Marathi with their brand new channel Sony Marathi with the tagline ‘Vinuya Atut Naati’ (विणूया अतूट नाती). M town is blessed with various entertainment channels and shows but when we say that Sony is about to enter in Marathi industry then sure the expectations are way too high. Sony has always proved to be the most versatile and freshly content driven entertainment network. Sony Marathi is also completely ready to serve the Marathi audience with brand new shows, new concepts and many more things to list.
On the Independence Day’s eve Sony Pictures broke all the barriers of language and launched the brand new Marathi channel Sony Marathi at J.W. Marriott, Juhu. The channel will be on air from 19th August 2018, 7pm. The channel was launched by the hands of Sony Picture’s Managing Director and the CEO Mr. N. P. Singh and Sony Marathis’s Business Head Ajay Bhalwankar in the presence of Sony Marathi’s whole creative team and press. The event was hosted by popular Marathi actor Jitendra Joshi who is also a proud part of the team. The event started with the introduction of the logo and why Sony is about to enter in Marathi television. Mr. Singh and Mr. Bhalwankar expressed their love and gratitude towards Maharashtrian audience and they said they want to serve the audience in the language they speak, Marathi. Later the event moved forward with all the trailers of Sony Marathi’s thirteen Shows like Bheti Laagi Jeeva, Garja Maharashtra, Haasya Jatra, Hrudayat Vaaje Something, Ti Phulrani, Year Down, etc. Let’s have a look at few of them.

After this Mr. Singh and Mr. Bhalwankar answered the questions of press about Sony Marathi. Here they revealed that they are going to launch the channel on this 19th August 2018 at 7 pm with the Rajyachitrapat Mahotsav and they will continue this award show for next three years. Also they have many films so Sundays will be the movies day. As for the marketing and promotional purposes they have been showing their promos on all the other channels of Sony Pictures. Also Sony Marathi will be giving progressive and fresh content. As the tagline suggests Sony Marathi will surely be weaving unbreakable bonds and relations with their audience.
