Bluefox entertainment & Bunty Prashant Inc. (BFBP) is one of the leading film production houses with a vision to produce films with substance and promote the art of filmmaking. They organized their first “Ciinemascope short film festival”, CSFF 2017 in Pune at National Film Archive of India.
Some 40 entries across the world from creative filmmakers, students were received out of which 12 shortlisted films were screened at the festival on 24th February 2017. The event started with a Malayalam short film “A Million Things” followed by “Soneri”, “Who Dies”, “Kurudhi”, “Waas”, “Sawaat” and “The Bohemian Musician” which was a documentary prepared by students of FTII, Pune. The last one to be screened was “Baluta” related to women empowerment.
Bluefox Entertainment & Bunty Prashant Inc. (BFBP) felicitated actress Mrinal Kulkarni and director Umesh Kulkarni as the “Pride of Pune”. Mrinal Kulkarni, Umesh Kulkarni and eminent film critic Saman Nakhate spoke about the art of short film making and the dedication, devotion and determination which the youth should show in understanding various aspects of film making right from the screenplay, direction to editing.
Sanjay Siriah (Director BFBP) & Prashant Patil (Director BFBP) expressed their ideas and vision as to what they intend to do going forward. A Million Things” won the platinum award for the Best short film at CSFF, 2017 and with that the event was concluded with a promise that we all will see good short films which are richer in content and concept going forward.
