As we all know the Government of India have outlawed the currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 to eliminate the black money. While the whole nation is affected with this historical decision then how can our Marathi entertainment industry could be saved? Yes, it seems that currency banning has left a big trail on Marathi Film Industry and its impact is seen in almost all the Marathi movies.
Adding to the list of films is Marathi movie ‘Fugay’. The film, featuring Swwapnil Joshi and Subodh Bhave, was slated to release on 2nd December 2016, but the makers have delayed the release now.
“The demonetisation has certainly affected a lot of fields, including entertainment. But since it’s a decision for the development of the country, we welcome it. And we don’t want the viewers to miss the film too. So, we’ve decided to delay the release for a while,” informed producers Kartik Nishandar and Arjun Singgh Baran. Though a new release date hasn’t been announced yet, sources suggest that Fugay will release in the third week of December.
