As we all know, we are going to witness the story of two best friends in the upcoming Marathi movie “Fugay” on 10th February 2017. Swapnil Joshi and Subodh Bhave have given many blockbuster movies in Marathi film industry individually. The duo will be seen together for the first time in the upcoming movie “Fugay”. So, before this exciting moment we had a little chat with the most popular and versatile actor Swapnil Joshi about their film. So, let’s find out more aspects of Fugay through Swapnil’s perspective.
Marathicelebs: How was your experience in working with your best friend Subodh Bhave in Fugay?
Swapnil: I would like to say that, I am working with Subodh Bhave for the first time, however, we are best friends for a longtime. I really admire and appreciate the work of Subodh and so does he. We always discuss our roles, share our thoughts and express our concerns. I think we’re probably each other’s biggest fan. We had a deep desire to work together for a movie, but I think destiny had some other plans for us. We realised we will have to wait till a writer comes up with a right script and some producer decides to produce it. So, we decided why we don’t come up with a story when our inner voice is telling us to go for it. Finally, we wrote a story together with the clear motive that we will get a chance to work together. We shared the story with Hemant Dhome who wrote the script and dialogues. Abhijit Guru also gave his inputs for the additional script and dialogue.
Marathicelebs: Is this movie in any way a remake of Hollywood movie “Hangover”?
Swapnil: Many people are thinking that my movie “Fugay” is a remake of Dostana or Hangover. I would like to tell my audience that, please go and watch the movie instead of jumping into any conclusion by just watching the trailer of this movie. “Fugay” is not a remake of any movie. Hangover was all about the things which happen in one night. Fugay is not like hangover, however, I won’t be able to answer more on this otherwise I will end up telling you the entire story.
Marathicelebs: How was the experience during the shooting of this movie in Goa?
Swapnil: Goa is one of our favourite destinations in India. Everyone wishes to be in Goa with his best friend. One simply loves the idea to spend good times and cherish the memories with his good friends in Goa. We had lots of fun while we were shooting on the beaches of Goa. Actually you should ask our director Swapna Waghmare Joshi, as to how much we bothered her? We were having lots of fun, did many nonsense things and Swapna has actually captured those moments in her camera while shooting the movie.
Marathicelebs: Which is your favourite song in “Fugay”?
Swapnil: My favourite song in this movie is “Party de”. I think the song is all about expressing the feelings which are deep inside the mind of any of our friends. We always debate with our friends when it comes to throwing a party, also there are friends who will always figure out a reason to avoid giving a party. There is a similar situation in the film and the song is placed in line with the same thought. The lyrics are penned by Kshitij Patwardhan using simple words and music is composed by Amitraj.
Marathicelebs: What will be the takeaway or message for audience after watching “Fugay”?
Swapnil: I think there is definitely a sweet message which the film will convey, but the tone is more entertaining and the message is conveyed on a lighter note. I think we all keep on blowing up balloons in our life which are full of ego, self-respect and misunderstandings. We keep on blowing them till someone comes up and pops them. I think these wrong balloons should be popped up as soon as possible and balloons which are full of happiness, love, gratification should be blown. We all know that what goes inside, comes out. So, “Fugay” will convey the right message of blowing balloons which are full of love and positive energy.
Swapnil! Thanks a lot for speaking with Marathicelebs.com. We wish you further success in your future endeavour.
