Television might be called the ‘small’ screen, but the salary of popular Marathi TV actors and actresses aren’t small by any means.
An insider source reveals, “The salary of Marathi TV actresses depends on the serial and the TV channel in which they are working. If an actor is working in a prime time television serial as a lead, his salary ranges between Rs.20,000 – Rs.30,000 for a shift of 8 hours.”
Adds the source, “All actors are under contract with their respective production houses. This contract comprises of various clauses and terms & conditions which generally include 20-25 working days a month. Apart from this, whenever they are approached for a launch or a ribbon-cutting event, they easily draw around Rs.50,000 to Rs.1 lakh for it.”
