One thing really extraordinary about Sai Tamhankar is, though she certainly seems to have handled fame and fortune well, she is too good when it comes to sparing time with her fans or Saiholics, to be very precise. 15th Jan 2016 was one such day, when Saiholics (Fans of Sai Tamhankar) had planned an event “Connect to Saishine” and Sai ensured that she gave ample of time and reasons to smile for all her Saiholics.
The event started with a brief round of introduction by Saiholics, since they had travelled to Pune from different parts of Maharashtra. The 3 hour programme had a couple of Dance and singing performances wherein Saiholics performed on songs in which Sai has acted. There was also an excellent poem presented which spoke about the journey of Sai. “Sai Ek Pravas – 2008 te 2016” was the next and the biggest segment in the event wherein the entire movie journey of Sai, right from Sanai choughade which was released in 2008 till Family Katta released in 2016 was discussed.
Saiholics shared experiences about their favourite movies & also spoke about the first time they had met Sai. The amount of involvement which all Saiholics showed while sharing their experiences was phenomenal and equally touching.
The good thing was it became an interactive session with Sai herself, leading from the front. Sai did cake cutting before the massive “Wall of Sai” which had close to 100 photos of Sai. A Video about different witty and interesting moments of Sai spend with Saiholics was the next thing in the programme followed by a presentation stating the social activities which Saiholics did in different parts of Maharashtra.
The confidence, charismatic personality and down to earth behavior of Sai are some of the key attributes which will make Team Saiholics stronger and bigger in days to come. Sai personally encouraging everyone to go for a mannequin challenge. Frankly, it was very interesting to see all Saiholics in that frozen state for 5 odd minutes while a movie camera filmed them. The event ended on a high note with many group photos and a promise that Sai Tamhankar and her Saiholics will keep the lamp of Sai shine glowing forever.
