Braveheart – Jiddh Jagnyachi movie review

Versatile actor Arun Nalawade plays the role of Nikhil’s encouraging father and he is the real hero in the film along with TV actor Sangram Samel who makes his debut through this film. Both of them give us the Braveheart experience which the film promises. Atul Parchure is good in his role as a family friend. Bengali director Dasbabu has captured perfect frames which are high on emotional quotient and the setting is perfect. The locations and spaces between the scenes are good.

“Ubha Janma Java” is sung by Sadhana Sargam which supports the momentum of the story. Lyrics and dialogues are penned by Shrikant Bojewar and music is composed by Arnab Chatterjee. It is veteran Marathi poet Kishore Kadam; recites a beautiful poem in his voice which is one of the high points in this movie. The analogy when Nikhil compares himself with a politician moving everywhere with his chair is an example of top class writing. Nikhil’s thought process and ability to grasp the moral from Dyneshwari goes well in the story. Surekha’s diplomatic behavior in the second half brings a different twist in the drama and it’s worth appreciating.

CONCLUSION:
To sum up, the film gives an important message – “Keep smiling even when dying inside”. No matter how much pain one is enduring, he shouldn’t give away his smile is a point which the movie tries to reinstate. This true story is a tribute from a father to his son and gives a different perspective to what life is all about.
