Amar Khune Patil and Prem Chorte Patil (Ashutosh Raaj, Nikhil Wairagar) are two friends who are extremely passionate about theatre. They decided to stage Ram Ganesh Gadkari ‘s classic play ‘Ekach Pyala‘ in a village where Amar’s uncle Bhaiya Saheb (Bharat Ganeshpure) lives. Bhaiya Saheb, owner of the local theatre group, has some strange desire to play female leads in his plays and is popular for it.

As the film unfolds, the viewers shall witness how Amar and Prem’s respective families oppose this dream of their’s. What remains to be seen is that after all the opposition and chaos will these two friends be able to take control of the situation and successfully present the drama.

Jalsa have Bharat Ganeshpure and Sagar Karande, a hit jodi from popular TV show, Chala Hava Yeu Dya. Despite their presence, the humour is flat and the film is unintentionally funny at times. Almost all departments like screenplay, dialogues, direction, editing and performances are below average.

Bai Wadyavar Ya’ song picturized on Manasi Naik is a hit and one of the plus point of the film.

Overall
Jalsa is a average film. It’s attempt at being funny get on your nerves. Almost all departments like screenplay, dialogues, direction, editing and performances are below average.
