On the occasion of Women’s Day popular Marathi actress Hruta Durgule recently visited a school in Malad to create the awareness of menstrual hygiene for the young girls. In this 21st century we have progressed so much but still talking about menstrual cycle or hygiene is considered a taboo. This lack of open communication and proper guidance often results in negative ways for the unaware girls. We need to accept this that it is the most integral and important part of any woman’s life. In those 4-5 days that girl / woman has to go through the physical pain, mental stress, hormonal changes, many things. In this period the hygiene is very important. When young girls enter this process for the first time they should be properly guided about all the things. Recently when Bollywood super star Akshay Kumar gave a beautiful message through his film Padman where he explained all these things in very beautiful way and helped creating awareness, many people got inspiration from him.
Beautiful actress Hruta Durgule decided to take a part in this. She visited Malad’s Jijamata Vidya Mandir with councilors where she conducted a beautiful program explaining young girl students about the periods. In this program councilors have explained the whole process of the periods, exactly what happens, body goes through which changes and how to keep it hygienic, etc. everything. Hruta talked to the girls and at the end she distributed sanitary pads to all the girl students. It won’t be wrong to say that just like Padman Akshay Kumar Hruta Durgule became Padwoman in Marathi.
